![]() ![]() For this experiment, our tester wore thicker eyeliner. Next, it was time to move on to the waterproof makeup. After massaging the fabric over her eyes for about 30 seconds and then swiping about five times, our tester's makeup was totally gone. Because it requires just water, she had to rub her eyes a little bit more than other formulas, but the warmth of the water and softness of the fabric prevented any irritation. She held the pad over her eye for about 30 seconds and then began to wipe it away. Our first impression was that it felt really nice, similar to a hot compress. Following the instructions, our tester first dunked the everyday makeup pad under warm water to remove water-based mascara, powdered eye shadow, and eyebrow gel. This eye makeup remover comes with two reusable fabric pads-one for everyday makeup and one for more stubborn, long-wear formulas. Our initial thoughts were: “How can that be?” and “This surely isn’t going to work.” When we first got our hands on the Cleansing Cloud, we were confused-it's just a fabric pad that you soak in water. If you’re looking for a fuss-free (and affordable) eye makeup remover, we found it. For this reason, she rated it a 5/5 for efficiency.įormula and Type: Bi-phase liquid | Byrdie Clean: No | Cruelty-Free: Yes She followed the same swiping motion, which she said removed more than half of her makeup, and a few more swipes around the creases of her eyes and lash line did the trick for the rest of it. To test waterproof mascara and eyeliner, our tester held the cotton pad over her eye for a little longer (about 30 seconds, compared to 10 seconds). After a few more gentle swipes, all makeup was removed from our tester's eye contour. Swiping away removed all of the eyeshadow and half the mascara and eyeliner. Our tester followed the application instructions and squeezed the formula onto a reusable cotton pad, then pressed the pad onto her eye for a few seconds. We first tried this product on Pacifica's Vegan Collagen Fluffy Lash Thickening & Lengthening Mascara along with powdered eyeshadow and pencil eyeliner. Our tester said she was amazed at how easily it removed waterproof makeup and loved how the applicator bottle dispensed the right amount of product. The bi-phase formula features a blend of micellar water and castor oil that lifts away long-wear makeup without excessive force (aka tugging and rubbing). Out of all the formulas we tested, this is the one we loved the most-and the one we're continuing to use daily. The photo and video repair functions are only available with the Premium and Technician editions of the app, which cost $99.99 and $149 for a one-year licenses, respectively.Who else recommends it? Cosmopolitan also picked the Glossier Milky Oil. Stellar Data Recovery is a powerful app, but also a relatively expensive one. ![]() It’s far from ideal, but in our minds it’s still a lot better than starting from scratch. This can mean getting a file back to where it was just before the corruption or damage took place! It can also mean only getting a file back to a version before it was completed, or before a large amount of work was done on it. But for other file types, you’ll be relying on the data recovery aspect of the app.ĭata recovery lets you access and save earlier versions of files before they became corrupted. It has some repair functions for corrupted photo and video files, and Stellar does have a Microsoft Office file repair app for Windows. Stellar Data Recovery is an app almost solely focused on helping users recover lost or deleted data on their Macs, including crashed Macs. If you want data recovery software that can also fix some files though, it’s perfect. The Pro price is on par with other apps on this list, but if you want an app that’s guaranteed to be good for corrupted or damaged file repair, Disk Drill might not be your best bet. Lifetime upgrades to the app cost $29 on top of that. This means to actually complete a repair of a corrupted or damaged file, you’d need to upgrade to the Pro version of Disk Drill for $89. This emphasis on restoring lost data is again seen in Disk Drill’s free Basic download, allowing you to save metadata on files you delete, but only allowing you to preview recoverable items once it scans your Mac. The app does emphasize its ability to bring deleted files back over its ability to repair corrupted or damaged ones, so its repairing capability might be limited. It then presents the files to you, and lets you recover the ones you want to repair or restore to your Mac. Like the apps above it on this list, Disk Drill scans your Mac for deleted and corrupted files, though with more search customization options than EaseUS offers. ![]() Yet another data recovery app with some repair options is Disk Drill. ![]()
